1. Legs-Up-the-Wall Pose: This gentle inversion relieves stress in the legs and back and encourages circulation. Just lie on your back and rest your legs vertically against a wall. The position helps regulate blood flow and calms the nervous system. You can start by staying in this posture for five to ten minutes. 

2. Meditation: Regular meditation can significantly calm the mind and reduce stress. Even a few minutes a day can help regulate your nervous system. Focus on your breath and allow thoughts to pass without judgment to harness the benefits of this powerful practice.

3. Extended Exhale Breathing: This technique involves exhaling longer than inhaling. It activates the parasympathetic nervous system, which helps calm the body and mind and improve digestive function. Start by inhaling for a count of four counts and exhaling for six to eight counts. Repeat this breath pattern ten times.

4. Nature Walks: Spending time in nature can lower blood pressure, reduce cortisol levels, and improve your mood. The outdoors’ sights, sounds, and smells stimulate the nervous system to promote a calmer mood.

5. Progressive Muscle Relaxation: This practice involves tensing each muscle group as you breathe in and relaxing them as you breathe out. Then, work your way up to your pelvis, abdomen, arms, and face.
