Expect to be at the center of your team-based care, starting with a detailed intake session with your primary physician, your certified nutrition specialist, and certified health coach.
In the legacy healthcare model, you may be lucky to meet with one of your providers for an average of 10.6 minutes. With Sarana, your intake will be anywhere between 60 and 90 minutes– and that’s just the start. Your Wellness Team will gain a comprehensive understanding of your health from your perspective, focusing on your habits, lifestyle, nutrition, and behaviors using an integrative, person-first approach.
Your care plan will be determined by the leading expert in your life–you– with your Wellness Team guiding you every step of the way, with science-backed recommendations.
Intake and Discovery
Your board-certified health coach will be your first point of contact, beginning with your 30 minute Health Talk. This time is dedicated to listening to you talk about your health, any current conditions or primary concerns, lifestyle, behaviors, likes, dislikes, and personal and family health history.
Next, you’ll meet the rest of your dedicated Wellness Team during the Intake. This phase is 9x longer than legacy healthcare appointments and is designed to create a thorough and personalized health profile, documenting an in-depth understanding of your current condition, symptoms, and family history.
Your Wellness Team will take a whole-body approach, diving into areas that may seem unrelated at first but are critical to understanding the big picture of your health. This approach allows us to target your care and determine any underlying contributing factors while simultaneously addressing your primary symptoms.
Advanced Testing
With the guidance of your Wellness Team, you will decide on the Sarana Health Panel that is best suited for you. Our unique combination of scientifically-backed labs test for a minimum of 360+ biomarkers.
First, we’ll order your labs to be delivered directly to you. We will help you locate and schedule with the certified and approved sample collection location closest to you out of a selection of 2,000 phlebotomists throughout the US. You have the option of a brick-and-mortar blood draw or a mobile draw in the convenience of your own home. Your choice; no extra charge for mobile.
Once you arrive at the lab, our trained technicians will perform a quick and easy blood draw. You can expect this to take just 15-30 minutes.
Underlying Cause Analysis
This process is a structured method that our providers use to identify unfavorable adverse conditions that may be affecting your quality of life. At Sarana Health, we look at things from both the “one cause, many conditions” and “one condition, many causes” perspective.
Our proprietary approach is based on proven systems biology, with years of evidence-based research to back it up. We step away from the reductionist model of legacy healthcare and approach your health from a whole-body lens.
These underlying causes often depend on an individual’s genetics, environment, behaviors, and lifestyle, which you and your team will evaluate and analyze together to outline the best course of action for you.

Sarana Health is FSA/HSA eligible, and we will provide you with appropriate invoices for your use and records.

- Specialty testing and treatment (to address conditions that may be uncovered during the Discovery, Intake, Testing, and Analysis phases) can be provided at an additional cost. You will approve them before we proceed.
